About
Mike Moyse is a bass player, guitar player, singer and songwriter. Born in Lowestoft, Mike started playing guitar at an early age but quickly switched to bass and was once described as “the best bass player in East Anglia”. Mike went on to perform in the award winning 60’s tribute band “The Yarebeats” and then retired from music for 25 years. Now he has returned to the music scene with a particular love of folk music. Mike is now performing on the folk club and festival circuit with fellow singer songwriter Linda Watkins and is in great demand with other musicians and can be found in a variety of bands. Mike also performs solo and entertains with a range of music which includes some of the lesser known songs from the sixties, through James Taylor, Mark Knopfler and his own original material. Mike is also in demand as an MC.
Mike can mostly be found out and about with Linda Watkins as the two forge a great partnership of musicianship and vocals. Linda’s great songs and vocals are gently and sympathetically supported by Mike’s bass and guitar along with vocal harmonies. The pair are causing quite a stir on the folk sceneĀ and there is a keen interest in their forthcoming CD. Visit their joint web site for more information – www.watkinsmoyse.co.uk
